The Retreat Port Stephens is a unique tourism development, backing directly onto the largest living sand dune system in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Retreat is a holiday park which is set on 4 acres and offers self-contained accommodation to families and groups.

The Retreat offers 4 types of accommodation in 10 buildings spread through out a private bush land setting well off the main road.

This means that there is plenty of room to move with a great sense of privacy and peace.

All buildings have private parking and there is also room for boats, trailers etc. so that people are able to have their special needs catered for.

The Retreat is the perfect place to bring the kids to enjoy themselves while you relax and enjoy the tranquil setting. We offer a great play ground area, large grassy areas for ball games and the game’s room for a game of pool, table tennis or fuse ball. You can also bring along their bikes and ride around the property and along the many bike tracks in the area.

The Retreat has an abundance of wildlife which lives and visits on a regular basis. There are the resident possums and goannas, kookaburras, lorikeets, rosella’s and  echidna’s. Make sure the kids bring a torch for possums spotting at night.   

Pets are also welcome, as they are also part of the family. We have 2 pet enclosures, which are secure and located close to the cabins Bungalows. There are plenty of places to take your dog while on holidays such as to Birubi Beach, Dutchies beach and out on the sand dunes.

The Retreat is a unique setting for Weddings. You can have your Wedding in the Gardens with a beautiful bush back ground or out on the spectacular Sand dunes and then your reception and entertainment onsite. No need to hire cars or guests travelling home after your reception.

The Retreat Port Stephens is located in a beautiful bush land setting, close to the beach at Anna Bay and only a few minutes drive from Nelson Bay. Our entrance is on the South Bound lane between the two Anna Bay roundabouts.
