2009 RIVIERA NSW INTERCLUB GAMEFISHING COMPETITION
Date: 23-24 February 2009  Venue: Weighing Station, Public Wharf Nelson BayContact Details: Courtney Browne (02) 4981 0021  Port Stephens Days 1 & 2 The New South Wales Game Fishing Association organised event is now in its 46th year, the tournament has approximately 200+ vessels and 1000 anglers, add to this total the families who accompany the anglers, the members of the public that attend the weigh station over the tournament period and the atmosphere of the 'BIG TOP' and we have one of the 'GREATEST SHOWS ON EARTH'.
When a boat is flying a red flag with a shark on it they have caught a shark. When a blue flag with a marlin on it is flying they have caught a marlin. When a red triangle flag with a T on it is flying they have tagged a fish of some type.

Website: http://www.tbft.com.au  Held each year the weekend prior to easter, the Trailer Boat Fishing Tournament has grown to be amongst the most popular family fishing tournaments in Australia while staying true to its original ideal of making anglers of all ages and skill levels welcome.
These days, you can expect to join around 1300 competitors and 500 boats to compete for over $100,000 in species and lucky draw prizes. It is the first ever fishing tournament for around 50% of competitors each year, and people travel from all over Australia for the weekend.
