School camp students
The Retreat has hosted many school camps and every school has had an awesome time.
Set well off the main road and surrounded by natural bush land The Retreat is the ideal school camp holidays location. Our group buildings are an ideal way to keep all the students together and secure of an evening.
The Lodge can sleep up 24 guests in 6 bedrooms and The Duplexes can sleep up to 32 guests in 6 bedrooms. These are all self contained with full kitchen facilities, bathrooms and lounge/dining areas. The Duplexes have internal doors that can be closed and locked if you need to seperate Male and female students.
For smaller groups, extra students, staff or carers of students we also have Cabins and Bungalows which are also self contained.
Central to all the accommodation options at The Retreat we have our games room/ recreation room and swimming pool. This is the ideal area for all group activities, bonding sessions, fun games nights, movie nights and can also be used as a class room with tables and chairs.
Onsite we also offering catering for those that require it. There is a great selection of food options on our School menu and we can cater for all special dietary requirements on request.
As part of school camp holidays we also offer the service of assisting with booking tours and activities in the local area. We have a good connection with the National Parks and Wildlife service who can come out to The Retreat and gives talks and information on a huge variety of topics including the fabulous sand dunes that our property backs onto.
There is a simple checklist that we have for school camps and the basics that the students will need to bring along are clothes, towel, toiletry bag, swimmers (if permitted by school) sunscreen, inspect repellent and school work books etc….
