Port Stephen’s month-long celebration has arrived! The renowned Port Stephens events, Love Sea Food and Tastes at the Bay, have joined in 2019 to create one of the biggest events on the winter calendar in Port Stephens. You are spoilt for choice with an abundance of fresh seafood year-round but August is the best time to experience the local catch as the Love Sea Food Tastes Port Stephens month rolls-out.

Port To Plate Gala Dinner
Starting off the month is the Port to Plate Gala Dinner on Saturday, 3 August where guests will dine on a seafood inspired six course menu prepared by five leading local chefs, served with matched wine tastings.
Experience the provenance of the exceptional local seafood prepared and introduced to you by five talented local chefs. Guests will be treated to a five-course seafood inspired dining experience plus dessert with matched Hunter Valley wine tastings presented by each chef and winemaker.
Date: Saturday 3 August – 5.45pm to 11pm
Location: Broughtons at the Bay, DÁLBORA Marinas, Victoria Parade, Nelson Bay
Tickets: $150 per person. Book early, tickets are limited.
Signature Dining Experiences
Returning to the festival program this year, by popular demand, is the Love Sea Food Signature Series. These very special dining experiences are hosted by some of the region’s finest restaurants and renowned local chefs, who go all-out to impress with their creative take on the world-class local seafood.
This year’s tantalising line-up includes:
- Four course degustation lunch at the Little Nel
- Four course dinner prepared by My Kitchen Rules winners Matt and Luke hosted at Eviva
- Lunch and Cruise with Moonshadow-TQC Cruise Three-course seafood lunch at The Poyers
- Seafood and Semillon winemakers dinner at The Anchorage
- Three course Italian lunch at Sienna’s
- Nine and Dine at Horizons Golf Resort.

Cooking Classes each week
Every week there will be a seafood cooking class with a local chef showcasing different seafood and how to prepare delicious meals you can cook at home. Love Sea Food Tastes Port Stephens is all about enjoying the famous Port Stephens seafood, right at the source. You can meet the local oyster growers, who have been harvesting the pristine waters for generations.
Exploring the culinary possibilities of Port Stephens seafood, learn new techniques, pick up some great hints and tips on selecting and preparing seafood, experience new tastes, all with a glass of wine in hand!
Tastes Port Stephens – Food, Wine and Jazz Weekend

Price: Free entry with drink tickets and food available to be purchased on the day.
